This course will cover new technologies in high performance industrial and decorative floor coatings. Attendees will learn about the different technologies and the benefits and drawbacks of each coating type. The sustainability market drivers and aesthetic preferences which contribute to the satisfaction of the building occupants will be discussed in detail. The course will cover correct surface preparation and site considerations as well as the safe handling and use of the high performance chemical components. Finally, several case studies will be highlighted which demonstrate the use of high performance floor coatings to preserve, adapt, or retask new or existing spaces as a seamless alternative to ceramic or vinyl tile or sheet flooring. This is an intermediate level course designed for attendees that have a general understanding of paints and coatings.
